Our experience includes working with partners to develop a skills agenda for Sub-Saharan Africa, which incorporated the co-ordination of multiple workshops at a UN and AU-EU level to develop an agreed approach to skills development in a Sub-Saharan Africa setting.

IAN JONES
Founder & CEO
Dr Ian Jones is the Founder and CEO of the Innopharma Group. He has worked for the past 25 years supporting high-tech manufacturing (particularly (Bio)pharma and Agri/FoodTech) where he has become a global thought leader on Industry 5.0 and the associated technologies and skills strategies to drive the digital transformation of these key industries. Ian holds a PhD in Process Analytical Technologies from Technological University Dublin and has studied Strategy, Leadership and Innovation at the Harvard Business School, Boston and Accelerated Growth Strategies at Judge Business School, Cambridge, UK. Ian also sits as adjunct Professor within the Department of Chemical Sciences, Faculty of Science and Engineering at University of Limerick, Ireland. Ian is driven by the mission to lead a team of educators and scientists who help people and businesses succeed in hi-tech manufacturing.
SEAN COSTELLO
Director
Sean leads the Technology Division of Innopharma, applying Industry 5.0 solutions to pharmaceutical, food and fine chemical industries. He is responsible for Innopharma’s R&D programme. Sean sits on the Technology Advisory Committee for the Enterprise Ireland/IDA Technology Centre for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Solutions, PMTC and is involved in the SFI Research Centre for Pharmaceuticals, SSPC. Prior to Innopharma, Sean was a founder of Medical Device company and University spin-out SlidePath, subsequently acquired by Leica Biosystems, which developed cloud-enabled AI-driven diagnostic decision support and automated workflow solutions for clinical histopathology, pharma drug discovery and drug safety. Sean holds a PhD in Pathology Imaging and Medical Informatics and a BSc in Biotechnology.
DANIELA ANGIONE
Research & Grants Officer
Daniela is responsible for research and grant applications in Innoglobal since she joined the company in 2021. As an experienced innovation strategist and evaluator, she leads the analysis of opportunities for research funding and collaborations at a National, European and Global level, and she is in charge of grant writing and management. Her extensive experience as a Principal Lead of research and commercialisation research projects is witnessed by the several awards won as an individual recipient of National and International Research Grants, and by the private investment of a Multinational Company for the commercialisation of the technological innovation she conceived and developed. Daniela has been recently elected Chair of the Ambassador to the Member States Group for the Process4Planet (P4P) European Partnership.
NOEL KELLY
Head of Digital Transformation
An engineer with post-graduate qualifications in Applied Finance and Executive and Leadership Coaching, Noel has more than 30 years' experience as a Global Business Leader. Most recently Noel was a Senior Business Unit Director in Jabil Healthcare responsible for a global $200M complex medical device manufacturing business. He has held senior leadership roles with Jabil Healthcare, Nypro Healthcare, Honeywell and Waterford Crystal. Noel is a dynamic passionate and forward-thinking leader, with a strong track record of success. He has led a fast-moving career in Business, Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain, with a proven history in the development and leadership of high-performance teams, to deliver superior performance.
PROSPER ANAEDU
Research & Innovation Specialist
Prosper is a life science specialist, with experience in integrating business and education strategies across medical and pharmaceutical sectors. Adept at leveraging his proven knowledge and experience in medicine, (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing, process validation and PAT applications to improve drug product quality and regulatory compliance. A strong commitment to research and continuous learning has helped create a dynamic professional keen on digital transformation, operational excellence and process improvement. Prosper holds an MSc in Pharmaceutical Business and Technology, a Professional Diploma in Cyber Security and a Doctor of Medicine.
GARETH CLARKE
Head of Data Science and Analytics
Dr Gareth Clarke is Head of Data Science and Analytics at Innopharma, responsible for the design and development of Innopharma’s Digital Maturity and Sustainability Assessment, as well as being part of the team of internal subject matter experts who carry out the assessments. Having previously held a role as Product Manager for Innopharma’s Multieye2, an industrial automation sensor, Gareth also is part of Innopharma’s Education Programme Development team, helping to design, develop and deliver course content up to master’s degree programs on data analytics, industrial automation, digitalisation and digital transformation. Awarded a PhD in Clinical Medicine by Trinity College Dublin, his expertise includes nanomaterial and crystal synthesis and characterisation, spectroscopy and chemometrics, crystal structure analysis and refinement, nonlinear optics, colloidal stabilisation, antibody functionalisation, biomedical targeting, cell culturing, automated high-content image analysis, and data modelling.

National Government Ireland
Since 2010, Innopharma Education has collaborated with the Higher Education Authority (HEA) to develop, manage, coordinate and implement up/re-skilling programmes for the (Bio)Pharma, Agri/Food Technology, ICT and Medical Devices sectors. It was the first provider of industry-led up-skilling courses for the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device sectors in Ireland through an ESF-funded Labour Market Activation Fund in 2010. Using a public-private partnership model, it successfully transitioned unemployed engineers, scientists and architects from the recession-impacted construction sector into sustainable employment sectors. This model has now been expanded to include more than 18 programmes, leading to awards across the European Qualifications Framework at Levels 6 to 9 and delivered to learners and industry sectors regionally across Ireland.
